Guys, i have a '87 VL Berlina, getting on and all sorts of problems are starting to pop up. I think it needs a general EFI service/tune, as she's using quite a bit of fuel, ~15l/100km old lady driving and runs/idles as rough as guts and has a large flat spot when the rpm's about 2000 and when booting it, which may disappear with a new dizzy. Things i have replaced in the past 6 months, ECU, AFM, plugs, leads, all due to failing. I have had it at "a common service center", charged me $220 to replace the plugs, then relaced them with the wrong ones anyway, i have since changed them over after they carboned up, due to the AFM sh1tting itself and running ultra rich. all i want it a few more months out of her, had her for 8 years since i got my licence with no problems, before she is replaced with a new car bought with funds from yearly bonus/tax return. so in other words i want to take it somewhere where they can fix or at least tell me what is wrong, and actually know what they are doing. SE (Cheltenham) area would be ideal.
