i have to get a vicroads inspection at the place over my car because i have to get a full rego again coz of some really stupid crap. anyway i got a 3" exhaust on my vlt and i need to get a rear muffler is that correct? what do you think would be the best course of action because im pretty sure it wont pass as it is or have some people here gotten pass the vic roads inspection with a 3" exhaust? just curious because ive done a fair bit to make this car almost perfect and this is one of the last things i have to go. thanks

yeah get a rear resonator and you should be alright be better if you had a standard exhaust to put on just for the inspection the stocker it looks the easier it will be to pass. But you should pass with the rear resonator there not that loud

i only just bought the car n it came with the 3" thats why i dont got the standard exhaust.. just spent today taking off all the intercooler n **** to make it stock again so it will pass engine wise now all i need is the exhaust... u think i could pick up a 3" res + tip cheap? if i have to take it to the exhaust dudes... even tho i get crap at trade price it will still cost me a pretty penny my guess... i wonder if wreckers would have it o_O Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I took my car there when I got it, i had to get it re-registered. I left the 3" exhaust on with stright throught mufflers, left my intercooler on even the pod.. They didnt really check anything, just engine and chassis numbers. But i might have been lucky.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

One is like your normal vicroads and the other one does re-registering of cars, bikes, buses etc etc and thats all they do.

Vicroads could'nt care less about modifications, all they are concerned about is checking the numbers both engine and VIN to make sure nothings dodgey. I have taken a car down for inspection with minor defect notice to get cleared and did'nt change a thing, The female that looked at my car did'nt know she was looking at then confessed to me Vicroads don't care about defects, The government just wants your money.

There not dumb, but i dont think they really cared. He asked " Did the RW inspector say anything about the gauges" I just said not really cos they dont get in my way...He was like OH ok... LOL i went there and all 3 inspectors were at the front when i got there, they made me do a u-turn infront of them and i had the spool in, my wheels were chirping bad.. They didnt say anything...... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
