Hey guys, getting my guards rolled next week so i can get my superlows in... what i need to know is how far (approx degrees) i have to get the guards rolled up?? Like do the rears or fronts have to b folded flat back against itself?? or can u get away with it on like a 45deg angle?? I'm running 17in ANZ matrix's, i've got 235's on the front and rear, but will probably make the rears 225's next tyre change (but they will be 235's for another couple of months), it will have an adjustable panhard bar and like i said up a bit higher, it will b one superlow king springs... Can i get away with 45deg angles on front and rear? or only front? coz its gunna b cheaper for me to only have the guards rolled 45deg instead of flat back against itself. Will the deal be 45deg front and completely flat at the back?? or what?? heres a rough idea on what i mean (excuse the crummy example guys LOL but it may help u understand what i mean if my explanation makes absolutely no sense.... ) 1. Normal guard and lip: | | .......*tyre on this side* | .. | ---- 2. 45 deg angle: | |..../ .....*tyre on this side* |../ _/ 3. Flat against itself: || || .....*tyre on this side || -- Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

when i put my superlows in i had 225's and it did nothing but guard rub over every minor bump lol so i folded them up hard against itself only in the back and its all sweet now.

I would lower it and see if it scrubs and then roll them if you need to. I would get them rolled fully, not just 45 degrees as i wouldnt want a metal edge going near the tyre.

honestly get em folded back fully.. cos itll annoy you when you realise that it still scrubs.. I know you haev got the risk of cracking the paint but as long as whoever is doing it.. it should be fine.. usually the factory paitn is real thin so it shouldnt crack as if you were to have new paint on the guards.. whats the guy charging?

He's said he's gunna do it by the hour, at $40 an hour, he'll heat up the paint on the guards and do his best to not crack it for me, and also make sure that water can't pool inside it and cause rust, i'm allowed to hang around and watch if i want... he recons it will take him about 4 - 5 hours to roll all 4 back flat against themselves without buckling any of the other panels and making sure they don't push out, but i'll just get the back 2 rolled back against themselves and the front folded on a 45deg angle, coz it looks like i should beable to get away with minimal folding at the front, so it should only take about 3-3.5 hours to do that... so about $120?? which i dont think is too bad... worst case senario is like $200-240, but i'll make sure it doesnt make it to that....

Dunno sounds expensive, BTW, a mate of mine put 18's with 245 on the front of his vs, and just by driving it actually rolled the guards back themselves. But yeah maybe thats just lucky.

Its just easier for me to drop my car off in the morning, goto uni during the day, pick it up that evening and then goto work. Thats the only reason i'm not doing it myself. ush

Thanks guys, this thread actually helped me out a bit. I have adjust. panhards with super lows. I am wanting to put in VX GTS 19"s, but my tyres are bottoming out as it is as Cairns roads are fuxed! So i will definately need to roll mine. Has anyone here got VX GTS' on? have u had any trouble?
