Hey guys, i'm lowering my car with superlow springs and i'm gunna replace my rear shock absorbers, now i have afew choices to choose from all around the same price and i'd like to know which is the better to get. Now i want it to b nice in the back end and not too soft coz i occationally tow the motorbike behind me, but i dont want it to b extremely hard either... these are my choices Monroe GT gas w/- Reflex Technology part no. '15-0166+' for lowered applications $119.00 Monroe Sensa-Trac part no. '17-0166+' for lowered applications $142 Pedders Comfort Gas Ryder part no. 'unknown' for lowered applications $154 I've been told by autobarn that shortened monroe's wont "capture" a superlow spring in the rear of a VL sedan (spring will fall out if extended) now i dont know how true that is, but i want the safest application i can get my hands on, also the most comfortable and 'useable' setup... what do u guys thing?? cheers ush

ur best bet would be to get the pedders but maybe get the sports riders instead of the comfy gas

well ive got the lowest set of rear pedders springs for my VL and ive got the comfort gas pedder shocks to suit. This combo is not bad, definatly alrite to tow the moto to and from. Another good thing is it does capture the rear spring. From past experiences i will never use monroe shocks again. My opinion aswell as the workshop i work in.

if they are your choices i would use sensa trac, used them with superlows and was much better ride than comfort gas which i had previously.

hmmmm debates.... it was either the sensa trac or the comfort pedders for me, looking at spending about $150 so that didnt bother me too much... Will the sports ryders set me back much more than the comforts??

hey mate there is another brand you could look at they are GABRIEL they are really good and availiable at most SUPERCHEAP auto places its the only place ive seen em thats all. And yeah they work just as good if not better than the sensatracs from munroe. Personally ive had the monroe gas items and they are not worth replacing your old ones leave em stock if your gunna go munroe. I think the ones i am referring to are GABRIEL VST which are black and are softer than pedders but gives you a comfy ride and no rattles or clunks.
