how would $3000 be best spent on a standard vlt ? it is standard other than exhaust and KN pod filter and bigger fuel pump... i was looking at gettin : intercooler kit Wolf3d or microtech lt8 dyno tune injectors reconditioned or upgraded any other ideas or what else is needed for the above modifications..??

High flow ~ $950 Intercooler ~ $1200 (pipes etc) 984 Bosch Fuel Pump ~ $320 Malpassi (black top) ~ $200 Trans Cooler ~ $300 That will probably bring the total to around $3000 almost just in parts and labour will probably be close to $500. So for over $3.5k you could have a low 12 second car... Only problem then is your auto wont handle it after a while

-Good quality Trans cooler -3000rpm Stall convertor -Keas shift kit -Highflow T3 -Ported Exhaust manifold (die grinder) -Cooler and pipes -Malpassi then u've probably run outa money but ur car would go pretty nice.. tune it urself.. and dont bother with aftermarket management and injectors if ur only after a 12 second pass.. its wasted money.

TRUST ME MAN!!!!!!!! ITS ADDICTIVE, LEAVE THE CAR ALONE!!!!! DRIVE IT AS A STOCKER.. lol!! out of all that.. only the first 5 mines mean anything, the rest is self counciling

this thread is interesting... ive got the same dilemma with my car... motor was rebuilt 2 years ago to standard specs, ive got fmic, 3" exhaust, runnng 10 - 12 psi, it goes good, and its not slow, but i want more power (here comes the addiction) ... what should i do next? shiftkit & highflow? or computer? if i get my turbo highflowed, do i need bigger injectors & fuel pump and a rising rate fuel reg? also... what would i need to break 200rwkw? i should be making around 180ish (190 at the absolute max)... let it be known, im not chasing 10s or 11s, i'd be rapt with something in the mid 12's range...

i think 12's is possible with that.. i ended up going 13.3 with a fmic, 12 - 14psi, 3in exhaust in an auto with standard turbo and converter..

Youve got all the basics in place... Go a 2800-3000 stall and shift kit next man. Will rip off the line and get you good 60ft times at the track. Then a Hiflo or similar turbo upgrade. Once you max your stock fuel system you'll need injectors and pump and a computer to run it all. If you do fuel system upgrades forget about the rising rate reg, you wont need it. If you dont do injectors pump etc the reg might allow you to make slightly more power by squeezing every last bit out of your existing injectors... My brother has an almost identical setup to yours and made 165rwkw on 11psi through his stock auto. It goes very well. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
