There appears to be a bit of a crack in my intake manifold, and I'm just wondering whether you guys can tell me how much of an issue it is, if at all, and perhaps what may have caused it... See pic at the link below.PIC HERE (http://www.geocities.com/sikstuff/head.htm)

No idea on how it got there , but depending on how much it leaks from the EGR is if u should get it fixed or not

It looks like the bolt that holds the heat pipe for the auto choke has been over tightened & because that is where the exhaust crossover is i would eithe replace the manifold or get it welded as it would be passing exhaust gasses through the crack. you can usually get a 2nd hand mani for about $1-$150 or about the same to get it welded.

what VK355 said, however welding wouldn't be as strong as a new unit

What would be a good manifold to buy? Not sure whats on there at the moment, its a warmed over rebuilt motor with L34 heads, lumpy cam... i dont know many specs for the motor sadly cos it was rebuilt by a previous owner and details are sketchy. What would be a good manifold to buy, seeing as I'm replacing it, and preferably one available for not outlandish sums of money?

If you are going to replace it, maybe an edlebrock performer, or a factory brock one.
