TURBO CONVERSION UNDERWAY
1987 VL CALAIS
Finally i have started the conversion, So far i have slapped the turbo injectors in, polished up the fuel rail, Plenum, XF throttle body & mounted the intercooler. Will have to cut the front bar a little to fit the cooler. Hopefully it will be done by this weekend just waiting for the turbo to arrive this week!
Anyways heres some details of the car
600x300x76 Front Mount Intercooler with 2.5 Inch Piping
Xf Throttle Body With a Ported & Polished N/A Plenum
Stock T03 Turbo ( For The Time Being )
Its got the full Turbo ECU & Injectors
Oil Catch Can
VLT 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, LSD
2 1/2 Exhuast With a 3 tip
17' BSA Shadow Chrome,
Will be running 10psi once i get it tuned, hopefully looking at around 150-160rwkw
Will post some pics up latter of the cooler, and the polished gear!
Latter on i'll be looking at a T3/T4 Turbo soon and some VLT Pistions and thinking about 18s-19s as 17s are too small

if i can find a turbo setup cheap enough i'll do the conversion but untill that day some minor N/A mods will do for the time being i guess!

Like -Injectors?
-Computer?
-Turbo?
-Intercooler and piping? etc...

Turbo i paid $380 Thats with Oil & Water lines & Dump Pipe
Injectors $200
Computer 3TA $100
Intercooler & Piping was $600 all up, thats with AFM in piping
I bought the N/A Plenum with the XF throttle body on ebay for $130 a while back
its copin a full service at the same time i think all the gaskets & plugs was around 130-150
