G'day Guys!
I'm heading overseas in a couple of months so it is time to sell my car to pay for the plane fare and hopefully give me some spending money for my travels! I've read through quite alot of the ads and certain people seem to be quite critical of people's asking prices for their cars so, I was hoping you guys could recommend a price or make me an offer as unfortunately as we all well know, quite often the car is worth alot more to you than to anyone else!! Would someone please mind hosting the pics for me?!

Thanks guys any enquiries and comments welcome
Tim
if you have logs books and can prove that those km's are genuine, you will get more than $8500 for it. without log books or proof that the km's are genuine it isnt worth anywhere near as much, anyone can wind a dash back.
Sent pics to fcukthedj for hosting so hopefully when he gets round to it they will be up for viewing, cheers fcukthedj!!
Just went and checked the odometer then, 87,008 it reads! I would consider selling without the stereo, cos a mate of mine is interested in it. Still havn't come to a price in my own mind, just wanting to see what the response is and hopefully wait until I receive some offers worth considering.
In regard to the kms, I purchased the car from a mechanic who did all his own servicing so no log book from his time of ownership. When I bought the car it had done 41,000 kms, being wary of clockwinding myself I had it checked by the RACV, NRMA and Holden and as Miz VL Turbo said anyone can do it. All three companies said that VL Commodores begin to look tired around the 150,000km mark and all were very impressed with how clean the car was. Still have the original RACV inspection report and all sections: Engine, Transmission/Driveline, Steering/Suspension, Body, Electrical and Miscellaneous all rated very good and their scale only goes as high as good! The bloke even went on to say it was one of the cleanest VLs he had seen. So what i'm trying to say is...clock may have been wound back, nobody will ever know, however, they were all of the belief that the condition of the car seemed to match the odometer reading.
In my time of ownership (since Nov 2000) I have the full log history (all work done at AVO, JPC or more recently JKJ automotive). I have never experienced any significant problems with the car apart from the auto which was completely rebuilt. I have tried to maintain it as close to original as possible so hopefully when this time came the resale might be a bit higher? As mentioned no engine mods so it is just crying out to have three or four grand spent on it and make it super quick like some of the other works of art I've seen on this website!
Thanks for your feedback guys, hopefully pics up soon so you can all have a squiz!
Here are the pics Tim, looks pretty neat man shouldnt have a problem with this thing, love the color, is that a standard color?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Thanks again for that fcukthedj!
Yeah its an original factory colour (2B037-D), I think its just been spruced up a bit by the bloke that sprayed it! Would love to hear anyone elses opinions or comments as well as any offers on the car.
Tim
Forgot to mention the car also has 3pt immobilisation and alarm to guard it against all those dodgy folk out there who like to damage and steal other hard working people's pride and joy!

I've had a couple of tentative offers around the 10 - 11 mark, not sure as to how serious these people are though! So I guess as a ball park figure thats what I would be hoping for, although any comments or reasonable offers are most welcome so don't hesitate to give me a call, PM or an email. My details again:

if ur getting offered that much, take it straight away.
Like I said guys the offers that have been made are tentative!! Not sure whether these guys are all talk or whether they are actually serious about their offers. Of all the contact I've had everyone seems to be asking for a price without the stereo...why is it that no-one wants a to buy a car with an existing stereo? Is a stereo deemed to be a personal item that one should have choice over what is installed!? If I do sell without the stereo I would have to say that the removal would be done at the buyers expense. It really is a fantastic system (138.6db), good clean base and the Alpine splits are top quality for mid-base and treble, the V12 amps, well they speak for themselves!!
