Just wondering if anyone knows how much power u can potentially make with a twin converter twin throttle body gas research system?? not including forced induction cars, as we know they can make 300rwkw+ with a single throttle, im talking about a n/a v8 here.. whats the most power you've seen a v8 make with a similar system?

the LPG is just one part of the equation as you'd know, you'd need to also look at the compression, which with LPG can be quite high. The cam is very important in a straight LPG setup too. I had 1000CFM of Gas Research induction on my 350 Chev, it had 300 flywheel kw, with a lot of potential above that.

so at 300kw it showed no signs of starving at all?? the flow rate isnt a problem, the tb's both flow 410 each i think so thats around 800cfm which is more than enough.. its just whether the 2 converters can supply enough gas to feed them at that and higher power levels i suppose is my question..

Did you see this thread on SC Geoff? ---> http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au....php?t=8438592 (http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=8438592)

I had one big mutha of a convertor, a 3/8 flexible line from the tank and a large lock-off. The engine never starved for fuel.

I heard a few years ago that 2 identical cars - one on petrol and one on gas, the gas one would make approx. 10% less power always, due to it's properties/ burn rate, etc. Has anyone else heard this or was this theory proven wrong in recent times ? Angela

that could be true because you need to purpose build an engine for LPG, if you just throw a standard gas setup onto a petrol engine then you will lose power.

I dont know Paul... on mine we changed manifolds, LPG and computer and spark.. and picked up 60rwkw.. same boost.. No internal engine mods.. no cam changes..

All the gas research gear now has come up to such a good level, I think there is massive power to be had on gas.
