Don't really know if any of you guys would be interested but the Nostalgia Drags are on at Calder Park this weekend, april 24th.
Visit http://www.nostalgiadrags.com.au/ for details, should be a good day. Although, unless some of you guys also have a old car you wont be allowed to enter the drags as it's "Nostalgia" cars only.
You will have unlimited access to the pits but you will also be part of an event, see front engine dragsters, altereds, hot rods and American and Australian muscle cars and sedans both racing and being a part of the car show in the pits. bla bla bla
If it rains it will be cancelled, so check the weather before you leave.
Public entry is $15 (I think) dont quote me, check the site.
I might get out there and do a few runs, although that depends on the price of petrol

as i understand it there will be no entries on the day, if you want to RACE you must send in an application prior to the date there will be no entries accepted at scruteneering
this meet is for pre 1975 built cars only & you MUST have the relevent A.N.D.R.A. class licence to RACE

Only pre 1975 cars can race. But anyone can spectate.
Only purpose built race vehicles, cars quicker than 10.99 must comply with the relevant ANDRA Class and Safety regulations pertaining to the vehicle. All entrants must be fully licenced for the vehicle and vehicles must have a current technical inspection.
A divisional ANDRA Licence will be issued to those who do not need to hold a permanent ANDRA Drag Race Licence. You must hold or have held an Australian Drivers Licence.
This was taken from the Nostalgia drags website, if this is incorrect could you let them know.
You can usually enter on the day at the Calder meets, I will ask the organisers of the event if this is the case for the Nostalgia drags. In some other states you had to pre-enter not sure about Victoria.

OK, just received confirmation from an event organiser:
Q: Do you have to pre-enter for the Calder Nostalgia drags or can you enter on the day at scruteneering
A: You can enter on the day. Gates are at 630am cars on the track from 9am
