Ok got the bad news today from ATP Turbo is ****ed and #6 cyl is pissing out oil so that rings or piston gone, i dont have the cash right now for the rebuild so looking to see if anybody wants the whole car. Good Points Tough as nails Yarra valley auto with 2.5 stall and tranny cooler gearbox is in tip top shape Brand new Cambelt ,3 core radiator, waterpump, cas, thermostat, top and bottom water necks and hoses, rotor button, All electrics works work including popups exept for the rear passenger door which was replaced with a vk door, front lights and indicators were replaced awhile ago,car has no doortrims 3" exaust and diff is fine Car is series1 imperial blue , half the dash is missing as i recently sprayed another dash in dove grey but not fitted yet. So yer im farked will sell complete or wreck as i need to get a cheap runaround asap for work.

dont sell it... and dont beleive everything you hear from kyp either. how do you know that coz the turbo is stuffed that oil hasent passed through the turbo ? I would be taking the car home. and leaving it there till you can afford to do what you need to do. spend 50 dollars on a manual and do it yourself, pop the head off and have a look. dont give up the vl.

yeh im just so pissed off that it happended now when im low on cash, btw the car struggles to idle coughs and farts until you rev it then it seems to rev cleanly, but ive got not much idea at all with internals of motors and the symptoms of stuffed parts.

ill take some photos on the weekend, before i get around to taking the head off, the turbo and exaust manifold has already been taken off, Also the car would need a respray aswell and the aircon is connected but doesnt work, have spare compressor also.

if it idles rough but revs ok, could it be the head gasket? i know of someone who had those symptoms, and found a buggered head gasket. i don't think it was pissing oil though.

Um i might look into that, when the mobile mechanic 1st looked at it he was giving it a good rev and there was alittle bit of water coming out of the exaust and onto the ground,he said it was the turbo and the engine appeared fine,so im farked if i know who to believe *shakes head*
