Is it possible to have the REAR wheels of a vl alligned?? A bloke i know was driving behind me and said that the rear wheels wern't looking right and that i should get the alligned so they dont chew out my tyres. Now is this possible?? and if it is, does the allignment differ when i lower the car?? or can i get them alligned now and lower the car later without it changing?? cheers, ush

Yes he is talking about the panhard rod. when you get your car lowered at the rear you need to get an adjaustable panhard rod to ensure that the rear to line the diff up.

There's an excellent 'short course' on wheel alignment here http://www.familycar.com/alignment.htm - Yes, it is not only possible but very important to have the rear wheels aligned to the body AND the front wheels aligned to the rears too.

yes, it can be, but it isn't exactly that easy to do. Worn bushes on the arms that hold the diff on will affect your rear wheel alignment also a little bit.

ok, cool, thanx guys!! I'm gunna get her booked in to a suspension and steering specialist very shortly, have the front lowered springs put in (i'll put the rear springs and shockers in myself) and have the front and back alligned at the same time with the adjustable panhard bar, make it all true and sweet...
