hi i was thinking about a tubro for my vl but now i am thinking of a v8 i have 5000 would i be able to get a v8 and installed or how much more do i need Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

first off matey id work out whether or not you'd be better off putting an 8 / turbo in your car or if you should sell you car and use the 5000 you have plus the money from selling your car to buy something much nicer and already complete, rego'd etc

thats right , u can buy a tidy VL V8 for easy 5k , and even a injected VL V8 for a few more

Yeah thats the smarter move,....unless you can do the work yourself its just not worth it.

VK V8 very nice, but after being in my 308 VL for 3 yrs now, there is no going back... sell your car, go buy a very nice, clean V8 VL, then with the money from your car work it, or.... keep your car spend the 5k on a V8 and have a tad of change left after you get it all sorted.... my 2 cents. mmm id just rip the nissan out of your car now and box and sell them off for a few hundred... combine that with your 5g, save a big more till you have 6 and then buy a 202/308 crossmember and engine mounts e.t.c and go buy 5.7L holden stroker short motor in the crate for about $3500, get some second hand heads, manifold and injectors, computer, exhaust, get a box built and you're laughing youll have about 200rwkw on a stock motor with insane torque, instinct has already proved this! ran 13.4 on street tyres too i think? try get something injected! but turbo will have heaps of bang for the buck.. the v8 will seem a little less hostile, but will take a ****load more of a beating!

i saw a vl calais v8 down in wollongong for $4000, look around the v8's r cheaper than the turbos
