i was in the local shopping center the other day and opened my mates boot forgetting his car alarm was armed and the alarm went off i fu*cked about it the boot for a while and with the key trying to turn it off after a while i got it to stop. i closed the boot and walked away.
not once did anyone look at me like this isnt normal?
so why do we bother putting alarms in our cars if it doesnt do anything?
would you stop ask if it was there car?

when i bought my car i didn't know how to use it proberly and i reckon it went off 2-3 times in a row and people looked yet just kept walking....I think it just happens a lot people don't care anymore
the most I would do is just stand there and stare at them, just try and make them feel uncomfortable..
I cannot stand car theives, they are right up there with the scummiest c*nts in socierty, but you can f*ck right off if you think im gonna lose my teeth trying to save someone elses car..
doesn't hurt to take 2 seconds and stare them down. even get there description. if the cops have some sort of record stashed away it might save your car one day.
the 2 way pager alarms is what you need. For some reason it went off at 4am in the morning once. I was out of bed and outside within 20 seconds. No ****er there but. I would of completely slept though a normal car alarm.
Get a strobe light or something that flashes and can't be disconnected easily aswell.
If its dark it draws the attention directly there.
I'd drive past and ask him if he's alright, if he'd mind if I rang the police to come have a look.
I would definitely stare at them and make them uncomfortable if it saves another car being stolen but like somebody said I am not gonna go out of my way to put yourself at risk over somebody elses car. You never know they might have a knife ready to swing at you.
Yeah definitely a pager alarm is the best thing to have so you can go see whats going on yourself and not have to rely on others to help you out cause its safe to say nobody really cares nowdays.
I rarely park my car where I am not near it anyway so if the alarm goes off I can hear it and run out in a few seconds, so they are worth having even if it will stop somebody stealing your headunit out of your driveway.
People remember a car alarm is just a deterent but bearing in mind they also are an immobilser as well to cut fuel, ignition etc..so even if someone breaks in they still have to bypass it in order to steal it.

most alarms the siren is under the bonnet and can be as loud as u like but will not hurt the ears.
take house alarms, when there set off some sirens are so loud it can cause dissyness & for some sickness (ill).

a second thing you can do is, most alarms the flashers work off the indercators in which a theif will just pull the fuse or just earth out a indercator globe to blow the fuse, so a second sorce of power for when the alarm is set off will keep the flashers indercating and u would hope a cop would see a car driving normaly or abnormal with all flashers going would be stopped?
