I've been asked a few times by various people if I could measure this up for them, and I've always been too slack. Now that its out I thought what the hell, sharing is caring. Now I didn't include any rounded or angles in this, but I'm sure you can figure it out yourself from the measurements I've given, just lay it out and look at what it needs to go around and you'll see. Elements being, sub box, side wall, floor, sub-box surround, you'll understand shortly. And a Holden VS spare tyre cover. 30 dollars. Now I paid a fair bit for a pro to do this, and it could be done for cheap. So enjoy guys.

Next up we have the floor. Spare tyre cover and the other side, which I need to get dimensions for, but its an easy one to measure. And the spare tyre cover for good measure. haha.

Well I paid a fair whack for it ages ago. And it might come in handy for some people. Using the false floor and even a blank side wall, along with a few cabinets in the back would even be tidier for somebody that doesn't have a big stereo.

very nice! looks sweet as. do you think that if i relocted the car battery to the boot could put it behind where your amp is mounted? like would there be enough space for it there?

Could probably bring it out a little, Or get a compact battery. But its pretty tight. Definately possible though

would probably fit better behind the sub box... Or just put you battery in one of those plastic marine battery boxes, then bolt it to the floor in the rear corner out of the way..

well legally it has to be vented. the best way i could think of doing it was to put it in the tyre well and use some of the rear vents the vs/vr commys have behind the bumper and put em in the tyrewell. I was gonna do this myself but couldnt be bothered. If you are still thinking of doing it i have some 00gauge cable for the job from engine to boot. also have the connectors for the battery as well.

Bextor.. that is exactly how i want to do mine.. One thing.. ****!! paying $30 for the VS tyre cover.. i grabbe one out at the wreckers and basically gave it to me ($5) BUT all wreckers have there prices Mate what i was wanting to know is does it RATTLE? If so... how did or are you going ot go abotu fixing it? Are you subs boxes properly sealed? Im using 2 15"s in my boot eventually! Also why thickness is the wood? Also what other amterials are a good idea to use? Thanks.. Sorry abotu all the Q's! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The boot install itself doesn't rattle, doesn't even budge. I get a couple of rattles from number plate, that black center piece, and fuel tank. But thats all. Thickness, I measured it the other day.. but I cannot remember.. I'll have another look soon.. I think it was fairly thick though.. 20mm or something.

all you need to vent the battery is like what the mercs use. a small tube running from side of battery (should be a hole there for a vent tube well at least the merc batteries do) and have the tube exit outside the car problem solved Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
