Sorry to drag this back to the top, but can you guys give us some more info on these turbos, eg what experiences you've had or heard about. A mate recently bought one off ebay, and was trying to talk me into one. He thought it was the best deal ever! Pretty glad I didn't take him up!

xs brand are fairly new to australia.
They are made in china and imported by xs in america. Who then sell it to resellers here.
They are the worst ****ing turbos ever. I cant express enough to steer clear from them.
Good day.

10-04-05, 11:04 GMT+10#11 the general concensus is that the wheels are not balanced properly, if at all. so as soon as they get any kind of RPM into them, they wobble, strike the housing and destroy themselves.
i say buy one!

10-04-05, 22:53 GMT+10#15 I imported 2 but when I was told they were crap I put them on ebay and advertised that they were cheap crap and it still went for $450 which is what I paid, I certainly would not go near them again. As stated above, you get what you pay for, I have been told they are made in Scotland but I don't know how true that is.

11-04-05, 01:18 GMT+10#17 yeah i remember seeing that add and he did say that he bought them for himself but they were crap so he was selling em.
Geez it just goes to show someones trash is other peoples treasure.
These turbos just get sold to people that are half hearted about turboin they dont wanna spend jack shuit but its a turbo. Then what happens is it dont get put on and it gets resold.
coz if you knew about turboin i doubt youd buy them cripe ones anyway.
So they are turbos for dummys coz when they finally take it to the turbo place the mechanic laughs and says that is shuit and we wont do the conversion using that so there they go off home to sell the great turb they bought.
thats what i reckon but still im talking about them and i have never used one so how do i know!!!lol

11-04-05, 19:19 GMT+10#18 has anyone here ever had a mechanic refuse to install parts on there car.
happened to me on saturday, went to get so info and estimate to install a fuel system on my vl and the mechanic said " i wouldn't install a malpassi on a lawn mower " and was reluctant to install the parts unless i bought them of him. wouldn't even give a rough estimate. said we charge $80 an hour, and it takes as long as it takes.
funny **** i thought.

yep can vouch for this just come to wollongong and take your car anywhere with your own parts they seem filthy straight off and always recommend what you aint got.
Like go to a tuner down here and all they wanna do is sell you the new microtech or ems uno it ****s me especially when youve showed them what you got and they slam it.
Like who the hell is that guy saying he wouldnt install a malpassi on a lawn mower what a TOOL.
Yeah and he sez that then uses a plastic fuel filter on your car the tight arsie
