Ever since I was 10, I wanted a vl. My old man owned a worked 5spd 5L calais from when I was 10 until I was 14. I loved this car, and it spiked my interest in vl's. About 3 years ago, I was on the net and went to google and typed in vl commodore (probably hoping to find some burnout pics haha, as all young blokes love to see). I came across this site and started reading about vls more and more. Once i knew what a turbo was, I was hooked and it was my number one dream to own a vlt. Now, 16 it was time to buy a car. I was looking around for a month or so and found a clean factory 5spd vlt on these forums.
Drove 9hours each way to wagga to pick the car up for a good price.
Finally! My dream was a reality!
The car came with the following mods. #" dump- 2.5" from cat back, turbo timer, bov, gold simmons FRs, king springs, boost gauge etc. Still running stock boost.
As soon as I got it home, I started looking for parts. I have fitted calais sII seats, berlina door trims and berlina dash lid (none of which are seen in pics).
A week later, I got a full 3" with hi-flow cat and 3" dump tip.
I wanted more boost. I scored a avo stage 1 intercooler off ebay and a GFB boost controller from this site.
Fitted both parts myself and its now running 11psi.
I love the car to death and I can garentee, in the next few years it will have a trick auto, big mofo turbo, big fmic, fuel system, forgies etc looking for 10s
I'm already in the process of looking for a t4 turbo to tie me over for 12 months or so. I've owned the car for about a month now.

I'm not gunna go t4 now though, just guna hi-flow the t3, on 18psi or so, should do my for a while

You gonna get the lower calais moulds?
Either way make sure you get the calais side skirts in silver if you go the whole half silver or if your gonna just spray the bars and moulds.. spray the sideskirts yellow with the body!

thanks mate. yeh, previous owner did the gearstick thing, im not a real fan of it. no calais stuff.... BT1 SYLE baby ..... just got some new pics up. the car has changed alot since then
