hey guys, im doing my boot up and i'm having a compartment towards the end of the boot with a fold down door. On the door i want to put an enlarged version of the Holden logo, i want to make it myself and was wondering what you guys think would be the best stuff to make it out of? Any ideas or anything are cool, im just brainstorming some stuff at the moment. I was thinking of blowing the logo up big on the computer then using it as a template on something, but im not really sure how i should do it. Thanks for any help/ideas.

When I did my logo in the boot, I used MDF for the door that covers the stereo amplifers, then I went to a mate who's a signwriter, and had him Vinyl cut an enlarged Holden Logo. I then put this new 'sticker' onto a 3 or 4mm sheet of MDF, Penciled around the logo, both on the outside of the Circle, and the inner, plus around the lion. I removed the larger Holden Cutout Sticker (which left me just the penciled logo. Next out came the jigsaw, and I carefully cut the Logo out, then I Glued it to the Original MDF Door that I had already made. Then I got foam-fluff underlay (1mm thick) and a length of that fake Leather Vinyl material and some Spray Adhesive. I took my time and covered the whole door and Logo. Hey Presto. I had the signwriter cut out the logo for me as i am crap at drawing, for those that actually have skill in Art work, there's no need to go to the hassle of getting the logo cut. Just draw your logo straight onto the wood. I'm intersted in how other people have done this "mod".

Are you talking about badges or stickers? I have a VS Holden badge on the back of mine.

Cheers slushbox, that sounds very similar to what my uncle did to his monaro. I might give something like that a go, anyone else got any ideas or anything? I plan on doing this soon, so when i do i'll post up pictures.

He couldn't be bothered making it himself, and I enjoyed making it so I sold my whole boot install to him. He gave me enough money so I could do it all again, and with better components - except I haven't been arsed doing it yet. I'll get round to it one day. My VL's off the road at the moment while I'm working on the front end of the car . So having no Boot install doesn't bother me! When I do get around to doing the install again, I'll do something different from the Holden Logo - Possibly the original CalaisTurbo site logo. Any ideas? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
