Hi.. I have been thinking about buying someones one owner 1986 VK SS Brock commodore, its all original with nothing touched with original 4.9 ltr.engine 4 spd manual etc.. has under 200k on clock.. has small bit of rust in front and rear windscreen and needs a new clutch.. but nothing has been touched since they bought it new.. it doesnt have the body kit either as they bought it like that.. does anyone have a idea on what it would be worth at all?.. thanks Mojo

how do you know for sure its genuine? and are you sure its 1986? how much are they asking

Make sure you get it all checked out by HDT dealer before any serious money is waved,Has he got the built sheets of the car or any documents since he has owned it? 1986? They stop making VK's in 1985...

All VK SS commodores had a HDT build plate but there is nothing special about the VK SS. Just a VK with a V8.

5g sounds like a deal,as long as the car is in reasonable nick.They are more than a white V8,pretty much a 177kw big valve motor,speacial trim and hdt bits,a good thing.

For all those people saying that VK's were stopped in 85, you are only partially correct. Holden stopped making them but HDT still had quite a bit of stock that they were still converting and selling during the first half of 86 whilst they were deciding what to do with the VL with the 3L engine as V8's had always been the engine for HDT's. (VL Turbo and V8 released in the second half of 86) If the car is genuine and they want $5K for it then what the hell are you waiting for? Corsa

I think hdt are still on holiday,does this car have a build plate on the firewall?bodykits were optional,does it have areos rims?does it have a round speedo in the square instrumets cluster,does it have the blue sports seats and momo wheel?does it have SS decals on the boot and sides?does it go like f**k and handle as if on rails?dont smassh it.
