Hey, Getting my first tat tommorow. Getting a cultic cross with a patturn interwoven with it. Not one of those huge crosses but a one with 4 sides equal in length. How much pain am i in for as its going at the top of my arm. Thanks

heres a link to it. been searching for months for the right tattoo as i wanted something special and different instead of rushing in and regretting. http://www.luckyfish.com/crosses.html Its the second picture and im getting it in that spot. i love the look of it personally. heap of people in the tattoo place really liked the look of it. The black background and stonegray colours really make that tattoo. Guy in their was offering to do one in a red with white highlights which would have looked awsome as well but i chose to stick with the black as i feel it looks awsome. Costing me $160 and taking 1 1/2 hours. Can't wait till tommorow.

best way i can think of to describe the pain from a tat (if you call it that) is like a slight burning annoying sensation on your skin. worst part is when it starts to heal and itch and you cant scratch it... tat looks awesome, black is best, i hate color tats

yea feels like a hot needle being draged slowly through ur skin but after 2 mins becomes more annoying then painfull especially on ur arm, if it hurts u much at all id be very surprised i have multiple and the one i would say hurt most was probaly the one on my lower neck/spine as the bone is close to the skin but the arm didnt hurt as there is a heap of muscle... post pics of it when u get it done!

Yeh thats what i ahve been reading. Closer to the bone is agony for some people. Apparently the ankle and lower back is really painful though i would never get one done there. Yeh i'll post up pics when the scabbing is fully healed, etc problery in a week or two according to what i ahve read.

Interesting that when economic times are good that it is deemed fashionable and cool to get a tattoo and look like trailer trash or an ex-con. Every second tattoo i've seen or heard about is described as "Celtic" You might like wearing a baseball cap all the time but would you ever think it wise to have one permanently attached to your head ? The rush to appear 'different' means that there is an ever increasing group of those different people who actually look almost the same as one another

"I got my first Tattoo when I was 16" mmmmm could be a bit of a lyric to put in a song..lol lol lol Anyway I have done years of weight lifting till I was 33-34, and now am carrying a bit of weight, but I would say Im a good 3 times the size I was when I was 16 (now 38) my panther head, witch BTW I haven regretted getting yet, has not changed in anyway. Oo may have faded a bit. Skin dose stretch and shrink, so dose the tattoos. I also have a feather 6 tattoos, and they have not changed either.

thats is always one thing I have always wanted to know as I just wasn't sure. you got no idea how much help that was to me. My reasonsing on tats is, at least it is the one thing you can choose to have on your body, the rest(mole/freckles/warts/scars) you can't do nothing about and you have to put up with them. aus880 - I would agree that its a bit of a trend at the moment, but dont put all tatoo'd people in to a single class, yeh alot of 18yr olds rush out and get them, yeh they might regret them... then there are people like myself who thought about it for many years prior to geting one, i got mine when i was 24, now a few years later and it still looks just as good and i have no regrets,, as for stretching etc, its not a problem.. with the hobbies i am involved in (martial arts, weight training mainly) i bulk up and then trim up etc alot and its never made any significant difference. You seem to be forgeting the people who get a tatoo for a reason - maybe some significant change in there life that then want to remember etc - not just to look cool. At the end of the day if you are happy with your tatoo and it means something to you(as mine does) then i say who gives a **** about what other people think of it. my tatoo is concealed under my shirt 99% of the time, for me its there to remind me of something - not to show off to others. as for how it looks when your old(60+) i dont think it really matters coz as VLT_RB30 has said your skin will look terrible regardless of tats when your that age.... thats if i am still kickin at that age! ohhh btw i must be one of the odd ones out because my tatoo it NOT celtic.....

Aus880 Trailer trash or an ex con? You my friend should get over the stereo type and accept what people want to do... I've been designing my own tatoo for three years now and Im still not happy with it. Mine will be unique and a work I want to show off cos it will be mine and no one elses. And Celtic covers a huge range of tattoos thats why you hear about it so much... As for your skin looking **** when your older I dont see why? If you look after yourself there is no reason why you would look **** at that age... I mean FARK look at Tom Haffey...
