hey all,
i noticed the other day when idleing the tank makes a sucking noise, almost as if the pump is trying to suck the fuel and theres a blockage of sorts...
any thoughts? im taking it in for a service this week so hopefully they will solve it for me anyway.
Its the lift pump trying to suck its strainer basket into itself, the replacement ones have a wire spring inside the basket to stop it happening. They are about $50 and are easy to replace.

Its just the fuel pump priming, perfectly normal.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Loud VL: its definantly not the same sound as the fuel pump priming... its more of a slushing noise.
theres also a bit of power loss, thats why i assumed it was blockage

haha thats an interesting description man... it more sounds like a jerry can thats half full of petrol that being shaken around... thats probably the best description (and imaginative 2). ive still been driving round but not giving it too it, just hoping it to completly sh*t itself haha.
My car makes that noise but I've got no idea what it is.. seems to happen when I accelerate in 2nd - 3rd.. and I do have fuel problems can only get like 200km out of a full tank.. any suggestions?
