i am currently in the process of mounting up my intercooler in my car and have looked to fit up in front of the radiator though encountered a bit of a problem. The cooler will sit too low as the motor of the pop up lights seem to hit it and i can modify the entanks to fit and would work fine on the front of the radiator.....Though I came up with another idea which i have questioned this being mounting the intercooler between the motor and the radiator and you wont see the front mount from the front though my advantages are the piping for the cooler will be only about 200mm either side of it reducing lag on the turbo and also will fit the pop up lights motor. The question that has risen from this idea is that the cooler will no get sufficient cooling as it will be fitted with a thermo on the front of the radiator and clutch fan will be removed and the air cooling the intercooler will be warm once it passes through the radiator can anyone give me the best options to fit this cooler thanks any ideas appreciated with even the use of thermos and the mounthing of the cooler here is a pic of it on the front

Another option to consider is to move the radiator back (make new mounts) and slot the intercooler in where the radiator normally is. This is where it is in mine. You will need either a) a very thing clutch fan or b) a thermo fan instead (possibly aswell as a thin clutch fan) to keep things cool.
Putting the cooler between the radiator and engine will only see it getting nice hot air to cool the intake charge, which will not be as effective. Stick it in front of it, and add a thermo or 2, and it'll all be good. And you will not have big bling bling hanging out the front for cops to pick on you, nor will it sit below the bumper to scrape on every driveway/speedbump you go over.
Up to you though - just means you have to make new mounts for the radiator (ie, weld some metal plates with holes drilled in them with new radiator mounts in the holes).
yeh i think i saw your setup in your engine bay looks neat i am considering it and change the end tanks as those pipes hit the chassis rails eheh on either side
i think its great how that cooler sits.id be ditching the flip motor and leaving it.
positioning the cooler next to the radiator seems more like an interheater than an intercooler
