well i bought a Turbo for my RB25/30DET its a TO4B A/R 1.00 and i think an H3-Trim on Comp wheel and O-Trim on the turbine i have been told by some people that the A/R is to big at 1.00 but then i was told with the twincam head it should be good.
i am asking wat opinions do you guys think.
its external wastegated type.

worked like a charm when i had my single cam, especially with a jpc stage 1 cam. drove like your stock vlt, nearly.

how much did you pay for it? Ive got a T04b with .86 rear.

Anything bigger than what you've got hybridvl would be laggier on your motor. so sounds like 1.00 is fine.

i guess u could find them cheaper if u tried but i was happy with the price.

I got a turbonetics T60-1/T04B brand new for $1250 with 12 months warranty.
Has the same rear A/R as yours and lag is not as bad as I thought it would be, quite the opposite actually

12-12-04, 19:51 GMT+10#10 the front wheel/housing will play a role when it comes to lag, bigger front wheel/housing will make the turbo more laggy. Also i don't see the point in running an o-trim wheel on a 1.00 rear housing, i would have used a smaller rear housing and even if it doesn't flow as good it will be alot more streetable.

i was thinking of getting it hi flowed later on with a bigger inlet and wheel is this a good move??

12-12-04, 22:28 GMT+10#12 You've spent $800 on an old skool T04, then you want to spend more high flowing it and putting on bigger wheels????? For $2000 you could have bought a GT30 which will flow 550hp+ and spool up @1800rpm!!!

12-12-04, 22:31 GMT+10#13 Large exhaust housings have many benifits, low EGT, low back pressure, and good high rpm power.
On the down side, the rpm to spool is generally higher.
I think the H3 wheel is fairly small, the V, or V2 wheel may be a better choice.

13-12-04, 20:07 GMT+10#15 If I Had That Turbo I Would Machine The Front Housing To Suit A V2 Comp Wheel And Get A V2 Installed, Also I Would Pull The Rear Housing Off Ur Standard Turbo And Get It Machined To Suit The O-trim Turbine Wheel On Your New Turbo Soit Will Be A Direct Bolt Up( Bolt Up To The Standard Ex.manafold And Turbo Dump Pipe, You Won't Need To Use An External Wastegate And U Can Use The Same Oil Feed/retern Lines.)

14-12-04, 03:08 GMT+10#17 Nah the T03 i had was from a Rb20DET which is a really crappy T03 i was told not 2 waste my time with it.
im sure i can already use all my old oil lines and also the turbo has a T03 flange and not a T04 flange.
