I just went to have a look at the Calais in Bentleigh, decidied not to buy it cos I don’t like it Some quick observations for those who might be interested… It’s a Series 1 Calais White with colour coded bumpers/moulds Has 281000kms, no service history. Has maroon/burgundy interior, fairly clean, didn’t see any rips All electric’s work Has 15inch VR berlina alloys Half the fuse box is melted, has been re-wired so some fuses sit externally within plugs. Oxygen sensor is melted, probably need a new one Has a hole cut in the LHS front guard as a air intake Has a new head and the oil in the rocket cover is now creamy white courtesy of the headgasket Didn’t see the id tags cause it started pissing down, so not sure if it’s a genuine VLT, Saw the engine number and it has a genuine VLT motor, so I assume it is, also has VLT brakes with cross drilled rotors. Also note, that the person selling the car is not the owner. He said he brought the car about 4 weeks ago from a mate but hasn’t fully paid for the car yet. if you buy a car with a "blown head gasket" be prepared to do a head swap as 9 out of 10 have a cracked head and the owner just thinks its the head gasket
