when i have the car in neutral and press the accelerator lightly the engine will rev harder (as expectied) and shakes like hell. It's not vibrating, just shaking constantly till put the foot further and rev it out a fair bit. i wouldnt really mind cause the car runs fine but since i got a better tranny in when i drive the whole car shakes when accelerating gently cause of the engine shake, does anyone have any ideas? btw its n/a

Are all the gearbox/engine mounts secure? Is the TPS adjusted properly?

i didnt know you could adjust the tps, not sure about engine and gearbox mounts, the auto mechanic said he put the tranny mounts on properly and secure, but the problem was there b4 rebuild so it seems to be an engine problem. It shakes more after the car warms up a bit, its not overheating by the way but the car still goes fine and doesnt seem to be lacking power. jordy how could i check the engine mounts are okay? could it be running lean? it shakes constantly except at idle, its not like a miss here and there. Could it be a spark problem? there is a chance my spark plug gaps are too big.

i wil do a diagnostics check soon, all ignition leads are on fine, they are 1 year old, nothing wrong with them, i'll also check injector wires, never thought of checking injector wires, thanx 4 suggestions vb-0310, is it possible it could be a worn cam that worn down unevenly?

pfft, you wanna feel engine shake? come take a ride in my VL. there's nothing like the combination of a lumpy cam, a supercharger and the engine being fixed to a chassis rail with a steel bar to make your teeth rattle.

thanx bro, i'll put that on my list, one thing though, it's kinda gone away, it used to shake b4 tranny rebuild, since then i found 2 loose ignition leads, 3 and 4, they're a biatch 2 get to, and i adjusted my afm to run a little righer, i think it was running lean cause its all good now, and also i think the tranny supports needed 2 settle in cos it slowly went away. stocky if my car was set up like yours i wouldnt have posted this cause i would expect the car 2 shake, but its bad wen its kinda stockish and shakes
