I don't see how these led's are more expensive, you can buy a bright as all hell led from **** smiths for 5cents..10 dollars would cover it, stick them in a piece of pipe and your done.

I don't mind neons but not on a VL or a commodore for that matter. I reckon they'd look nice on a dumped lexus or beamer, something with a of class, otherwise they look tacky in my opinion. Whiplash provided some really good info so if you're determined go for it!

Im sure your car looks great without them you're not turning it into a ricer are you? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

u may consider neons rice, so do i...but in a different way... i consider any sort of 'bling' mod on a slow car rice, no matter what sort of car it is (yes im talking about vl n/a autos with 18s/monster tacho/lowered, tints/cannon/custom plates etc), i think neons are fine as long as they are on a car which is already 'cool' in the first place, otherwise they look so gay its a ****en joke. My gf gave me undercar LEDS for chrissy, i havent put them on yet but yeah i probably will eventually...even if i dont use them that much.

would that be applicable to a hotted up N/A?? or does it have to be turbo'd. I just dont see the point in having a REALLY fast car especially if its only gonna be for street use. I mean you can't go faster than a hundred (100) km/h anyway. So why go to all the trouble? Its really the same. As far as im concerned a ricer is a car that LOOKS like it is fully sik and the owner BOASTS that its FULL SIK but its actually bog stock. I mean even if you HAVE a turbo or your car is hot.....is there really any point in having a monster tacho at all? especially if youve got a stock tacho in your dash?? And do we really need to have the BIG wheels??? doesn't make the car go faster.. so its the same when you think of it. **** i reckon my car is crap compared to some of yours. Its in mint condition, interceptor rims, a fairly hot N/A 6 in it, debadged etc.. and i have undercar leds as well. It looks good i reckon and alot of other ppl do to. White with blue ledz do look a treat. The car is lowered so its not ABSOLUTELY stock. I also have a cannon and 21/2 mandrel bent exhaust with extractors. I find the cannon keeps the exhaust at a nice note and doen't make it sound like a can opener. It also sets the car off at sound offs etc.. So if you dont like them or if you are gonna mock tem keep your comments to yourself as you waste space, and let ppl actually help the poor guy out. He might like them....let him be.

Also something else....maybe some of the por cvnts can't afford large expensive mods. So instead to keep em busy they install the easy things first, and later on do all the hard work of performance modifications. I know im doing that, ive just spent 2 grand on a whiteline "The works super low" suspension kit. waiting to be installed. Then it will be the diffs turn, then the gearbox and then all the components for a turbo.

Blown RB - Just convert to turbo then! problem solved Tashvl - i agree about monster tachos, i do like stand alone shift lights ALOT though to bad they cost like 200 bux so il never afford one lol, also from ur posts i cant work out if your having a strike at me or not so im gonna cover my ass here anyways...thats just my opinon fellas (on the rice thing), i had an n/a auto before my vlct and i spent alot on it, in the end it was at stock (standard FE2 as it is a bt1) ride height, had interceptors and no monster tacho tints or nething like that, instead i spent my money on new bumpers, plastics, partial respray, exhaust with extractors (ok the tip is a bit of a wank at like 3 1/2 inch size lol), high flow cat, a decent stero and a new steering wheel etc, i just think $350 monster tachos and all that belong in full race spec cars ya kno? i mean $350 buys u a set of extractors or nearly a new set of tyres for your n/a, why waste it on a monster tacho when you already have a perfectly good tacho dash (assuming ppl do) when the money could go to real good use?? Maybe this is just my opinion cos i never EVER have money lol let alone money to waste. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nah mate i wasn't having a go at you. But you ARE right with cost factors. I had a supercharged VL b4 my current VL and its stock. I havent been able to do MAJOR mods on her because i use it everyday. Only reason i bought it cause i had virtually known the car since new. Otherwisze it wouldve been a Turbo vl that i wouldve bought.

Off topic cause I know this is a how to thread and not a everyones opinion, But it has headed that way anyhow.. I Love Neons, as long as they are done right... The right Colour for the right car, Same as Wings on VL's some Look really bad,.. But a group A duck bum is good, Walkys are good too... If the Car is tidy and you want to show it off, then year go for it.. stick to the Lighting rules but Nothing, Flashing yellow unless your turning, Nothing white unless your Comming right for me,.. No red while driving nothing worse then thinking some one is breaking, when really it is just a dam light under the car,. lights are easy to run, dead easy to run wire through a hole in the Floor pan Put a switch on it leave it off mostly, I have often thought of Running red ones from a relay of the Hand Break, so when I park they come on till I turn the car off, But more-so to show off with Hand-break turns, and to make the smoke glow on Burnout pads... if I ever get to go to one. I am suprised so many people are against them... seems to me, with our dim Lights on the car, we need all the lighting we can get
