Hey all, just got busted spinning the wheels in front of a copper. Not even a proper burnout, but apparently impressive enough for mr plod to tell me that I gave it "two bootfulls, and fishtailed it down the road". Yeah whatever....the fine is $240 for willfully driving a vehicle making excess noise, but how many demerits is it? I can't find any mention of that offence on the qld transport website, but I'm guessing a few of you have been presented with the same ticket before.

Yeah he told me if it was dry and there was smoke from my tyres then he would be seizing my car, but instead he would give me the ticket. My ticket said unnecessary noise, but obviously there was no smoke if it was wet and I was spinning the wheels at half throttle.
That gives me 12 months and 10 days between my last traffic offence and this one, but I think I'm still gonna get stooged. When I got my last ticket the points were allocated to me on the day I paid the fine, but reading this ticket it says points are allocated on the day of the offence. So even though it was more than a year between offences, I still have racked up 4 points in a year because of the way the points are applied.

and leigh - yeah the copper said that i will need to get a bus home that night , coz my car is going to be towed , the kunt made me wait in the carpark for over an hour , then decided to say to me , i thikn u should get going mate and go straight home.
old scoota and a few of the other boys off this site where there on the night , had a good laugh at me. as if u would do a skid right infront of a marked copper lol
mmmmmmm maybe I could be pursuaded to attend the local hangout! I still have some bits here for Rubin too. I think he has more things to worry about though.
Thats all you got, consider urself lucky. The pigs took me to court, 3 months walking time, $800 fine, passenger restriction, p's got extented for 3months. There was no smoke, it was just a chirp. Got me for careless driving.
After court the cop asked me if i learned anything, i told him "yer i did, next time i drop a burnout i'll make shaw it's a really good one".

Police need to concentrate more on protecting and serving the people, instead of just being f**kwits to motorists to raise revenue.
When I got my fine for it I got 240 and no points taken off .
I took it to court to try and get the fine reduce but lost so I had to pay $60 court fees. Anyway the judge was reducing everyones fine except mine.
One guy that stole some fuel got his reduced, one guy kicked a police car got his reduced, one guy growing marajuana got his reduced but I didn't.

$240 no points for making unnecessary noise, (unnintentional)e.g if its wet and you get a touch of wheel spin when u leave at a set of lights.
Depends if the officer is feeling generous as to which one he gives u.
Just got one the other day, went almost sideways around a corner and i see cops, they pulled me over but he was pretty cool he only gave me $240 no points.
