There must be something going on cause there's been heaps of VL's stolen lately. Mate's maroon, VL HDT Calais, rego HDT06 was stolen from the Tafe carpark over near Indooroopilly. If anyone sees it let us know would be greatly appreciated. BTW it had Walky wheels at the time of being stolen.

did it have an alarm out of interest? I know that it seems like a stupid question, but if all these cars getting stolen do then i think that vl's are being targeted, rather than just being used as joy ride cars by the average jo-blo.

has anyone researched the idea of using some kind of identification tactic similar to data dots for their cars? not quite as sophisticated but good enough for crooks not to see, but a way that you can concretely ID your parts? like i would scrape numbers into the back of my wheels etc so i can always find em, but there has to be a more hidden way.

Hey guys the car got recovered. The ****ers stole everything they could: the wheels, the stereo, the alternator, the hoodlining, the brakes it was unbelievable. Anything they couldn't unbolt they smashed including every single one of the panels. To answer your questions, it was non turbo, had an alarm and immobiliser (but I think this was playing up) and luckily was comprehensively insured.
