ok guys i need you too keep an eye and ear out for me. im looking for the plate that fit in the bonnet that hold the hinges onto the bonnet. if someone know of a bonnet that is so past being repaired and wouldnt mind donating me this great device or for a very small fortune as this would be worth nothing to anyone then let me know. if i can get one it saves me having to purcahse a bonnet for a rediulous price as i only need one small thing from it. the problem with mine is that one of the bolt holes has its thread wrecked. prefer south of the river but will go north as long as your not up in woop woop cheers daniel

where the hinges bolt onto the bonnet there is a cavity where a plate hides and i what that plate. the bonnet can be as smashed up as possible the more worthless the bonnet the better.

i can get you a tap, no worries to tap out the hole, is it the same size as sedans i take it, might have to put a different bolt in there though, because i should be able to get hold of imperial helicoils (replacement insert thread), where i think out cars will be metric.. let me know anyways have u tryed a wreckers ( even that one u take your own tools, which i think is sor) they should let u have one , just pull it out (the probably wont even know what it is)

yeah but i got stevie and his mate to look at getting this thing out but he says its more trouble than what its worth. the hole is the same size. what i want to do is to be able to use a ball joint in this whole so maybe if i use some plumbing tape that might fill in the gaps once i have tapped it.? what do you guys reckon
