hey all, i mite be getting my hands on an ex-persuit vl turbo very shortly. the car is really run down and needs panel and paint work. and some engine work. the motor has only done about 5000km but i think its either got a cracked head or blown head gasket. the car hasnt been started for about 2 and half years. i was wondering what people would be willing to pay for this car if they were to purchase it. i mite try to sell it as is, or do it up and then sell it, or scrap it and sell it in parts. tell us yor thoughts and what u reckon would be worth doing cheers alex

$500- $1000 sounds like a big problem

yeah id try and weesel it down to 500 all depending on what the whole condition is like eg rusted chassis i would buy to sell for parts, body so bad that every panel needs replacing stuff like that you just sell for parts.

yep he's chasin 800 hundred for it. the main idea was to scrap it, and sell it in parts. could make few $$$ dollars, would just take awhile to shift it all. ill have a think about it. dont know how keen i am anymore.

drive line parts you should make your $800 bucks back easy. probably make 1500+ on drivline alone so deffinatley worth it.

hay im gettin the car now, made the deal today. so ill be kepin a few parts, but will also have lots to sell. theres a pretty much brand new bottom end if anyone is interested. only rebuilt 5000km ago. probly sell for bout $400, all ull need is a new head. im gonna keep the tranny and diff, injectors and ecu. ill put a thread up soon with a heap of stuff forsale if anyone wants anythin.

I'll take the bottom end! Don't care about the head... i got plans! rb25 or 26 / rb30 conversion!

damn, i would have had it if u didnt sell it. oh well. hope all goes well with selling the other parts. And keep ur ears and eyes on the look out for another vlt cause i need a new engine desperately. The rings are buggered in my n/a so i thought why not upgrade if i have to pull the motor out anyway.

Actually guys, if your not gonna sell anything else on me ill grab some of the parts. eg. Manifolds, turbo, g/box, computer....etc. And i will just strengthen my old block. Get bac to me on a price. cheers. Evlgurl

EVLGURL: is your VL a series I or II? If it's a II then the block is the same as a turbo one....
