ey guys, got one of those old school apexi 5 dial SAFC's. Tunes your air fuel ratios, does the exact same thing as the new school blue screen bangers, but with less resolution, and no wanky blue screen
Only asking $150

a bit off topic here but my car needs a tune big time. (even more so after cooler is plumbed)
How is a mechanic going to that without a device such as this? do they just put it on a dyno and fiddle with the air flow meter?

they have to "piggy back" it onto ur existing ecu, by splicing the wires related to those on the safc then they tune from there..
Its a shortcut from getting a full aftermarket ecu..
ask mrsickvl himself.. he got new skool version

the safc works really nicley with stockish mods once you have it tuned and all you can really notice the difference, the old school one you can bump the buttons and it can mess your tune around, although they both so the same thing

in other words your better off getting a proper ecu am i right

those types of mods once you do the plenem and cam etc u would have to get a proper ecu not a piggy back one

30-11-04, 15:16 GMT+10#11 like pete said, these are a sweet unit for people who cant yet afford the 2000 plus for full stand alone engine management. You cant really bump the buttons and **** with your tune like pete said, it'd have to be a very lucky shot the press the button fully in to engage it and then be able to turn it, all be accident!
I think this is pretty much sold, so be quick if you want it
