Hey all, i've picked up a Supra Mk3 front mount cooler which i wanna bolt up. I've already got a stage 1 on there, which one would be best the supra front mount or the stage 1? I just wanna get an idea of what other peoplez would do.

I'm no expert but an Avo stage 2 is bigger and mounted at the front of the car. Stage 1 is mounted infront of the passenger side front wheel. I guess it would flow better, it's an upgrade from stage 1. I was just after some info on the new cooler i got, i think if it mounted at the front it would be better then the side mount avo, even though it's a supra cooler and not a orginal avo unit. Woudn't it??? Anyone???

I would be keeping the AVO stage 1. Im not familiar with the exact Toymota core you are talking about, but most of the Toymota OEM cores have major pressure losses across them. Keep AVO Stage 1, until you can get a decent (well larger core if you are after bigger hp numbers) aftermarket job.

I'm not really after big hp. Just a better air flow. And maybe a loud flutter.

This is what it looks like.... http://memimage.cardomain.net/membe...99/734416_1.jpg (http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/2/web/734000-734999/734416_1.jpg) I want to use my avo stage 1 piping and connect this cooler up. Should be ok for my setup, as i said i'm not after huge hp yet. Just better flow through the cooler.

Yeah those toyota coolers shown are **** ey.... Hows 4psi drop at 14psi sound? AVO Stage 1 would **** over it. That toyota core is a cheap and nasty tube and fin design, ok for the OEM market where cost is of importance and the cars run low boost anyway, but not what you would want to upgrade to. Mick

Alot of people don't give the AVO units enough praise for what they are. They are bar and plate, very efficient for their size and have extremely low pressure loss across the core due to their design. AVO Stage 1 units are rated up to 14psi. So if you are running the stock turbo and a minimal increase in boost, it will be fine. The GTR has one of the better OEM designs but even they aren't as good as people make out. When using OEM coolers you really need to be wise about the choice you make.

Yer i was just looking for a front mount that could be well hidden and would be more efficient. I'll be selling it on ebay so look out, do you think any one on here would buy it, just to put in a smaller turbo car?

Sell it on http://www.toymods.org.au/ forums. It is off a toyota after all.

Like Nath said, get one of Pro 100's coolers. I have one on my car and it works a treat. Very reasonably priced too. Morgo has flow specs for these coolers, very impressive.
