Any family car in perth if its registered as a factory lpg, converted to straight lpg, or even converted to duel fuel then the government grants them a $500 rebate!!!
Thats disgraceful that we havent followed the lead!!
On a side note, i noticed gas was 59cents today... considering lpg is comsumed ROUGHLY 1.5x more than petrol, converting that to dollar per litre roughly puts lpg @ 88 cents per litre.
Anyone else gettin pissed off with **** like this??? it used to be ***n 35 cents a few months ago.
I heard we were selling natural gas to Japan for like 2 cents a litre,
I'm still paying around the 38 cents a litre now, but yeah it will go up soon,

Morgo we export it to japan for 1c a liter.. its ridiculous ha!!! They even BURN IT OFF! then they sell it to us for 40c +... I normally dont pay over 40C for it though... Shell 4c discount :P + i have a GAS ONLY BP card. 2c a litre off

I'm fairly sure LPG is refined. The stuff they sell for 1c a litre (I'm skeptical of this claim) would be unrefined. If they're selling it to us for 40c a litre then why wouldn't they sell it to the Japs for that much? Because they like Japs better than us? I thought petrol and gas cost the same, the only difference is the govt. taxes petrol and not LPG?

A friend of a friend is high up in mobil. He told me the japs have a contract from like 12 years ago for 2 or 3 cents per litre. Gas is produced for practically nothing remember. So at the time it was a great deal. It is obvious why we pay so much for gas. If petrol is 110 per litre and gas was 29 cents everyone would switch to gas. Oil shares and stock will plumit causing an economic recession in some countries.
The reason why we pay so much for gas yet it is mined in our backyard is because we have to pay world prices for it, the gas may as well come from the moon and we would still be paying the same as it is from Bass Strait.
