This bike is in very good nick, with only 4500km's on it (NB: will change as i drive it daily ). i've had it for 1 - 2 months . It's very clean, as i've just put on : new gold tomaselli handlebars new rear taillight plastic, new front tyre ( tyres are like new 50/50 road / trail) new side panel new rear mudguard new headlight faring. iriduim racing spark plug. larger sprocket new rear stop light new bullet type rear indicators. new light bulbs. it handles dirt and road very well with the tyres that are on it. it comes with a safety certificate which is one month old, (if it expires before sale, i'll get another one). it has some minor scuffing of the paint down lower, where the previous owner has dropped it, but nothing bad. also has a few dints in the tank at the moment. same reason! I'm still new to bikes but i never dropped it, that's how easy to ride it is! it blows barely any smoke - i use fully synthetic racing oil in it, and premuim unleaded fuel, but unleaded and mineral oil is fine! she'll top out at 120kph, but i wouldn't suggest prolonged use at speeds higher than 90kph. (have been told that will wear out the motor) I also put on a new sprocket ( the original one is still very good, but i wanted taller gears) pulls very well for what it is, and never misses a beat. it has it's original toolkit, and comes with a spare motorcross tyre, original handlebars, some spare damaged farings, taillight, sprocket, spark plug etc. It may also be worth noting that i've just greased the headset / swing arm bearings as well. Also just had 2 spare keys cut, as well as the original. most of the work and money is spent now the 1999 dt175 received the new front disc brake as well! everything is very good on this bike. it's a good commuter, and good on fuel ( around town i get about 120km per 6 litres, driving reasonably quick ) it's a 2 stroke, but the power is smooth, and also makes a great learners bike, as it has a low seat height. the bike is currently registered as a dual seat, but the pegs have been removed and the threads drilled out in preperation for the single seat rego. once again, the pegs come with the bike. Bike has rego till april. Shame to see it go, but i want a road bike, and can't afford 2 bikes and a car! Receipts are available. it gives a great comfortable ride, and can go where your road bike can't. what more can i say? they've been making them for 20+ years! they must be on a winner. The back wheel is slightly buckled (from previous owner) but will be fixed before / upon sale. I will also change the gearbox oil prior to sale. There is no finance or encumberances on this bike, as i paid cash. inspection is welcomed, and if you want to test ride it, bring your licence / helmet! pics will be up shortly.
