So far I have got an SS cold air induction kit, Extractors, 2.5in Redback exhaust onto a High flow Cat...thats about it.
Its Auto, so any mods that could work around this would be great.
Cheers...

hmm when I had my VR, I went for a reprogrammed delco, twin 2.5" exhaust, hi flow cat, tiwn hi flow mufflers, hurricane headers, and a pod.
Went pretty good and sounded pretty nice to.
A Powerdyne supercharger, running around 9psi, with some bigger injectors and some water injection would be sweet as for any V6, would make a good 200-220rwkw if done properly, and just get the trans sorted aswell.

We fitted an ACL race series kit to a VP series 2 motor which has lifted its compression ratio up to around 10:1,it also has a Crow stage 2 cam in it.
It would be putting out over 170 KW as that is Crows figure when using the standard compression ratio, the only thing is the motor needs remapping using the Delco software as the idle is a bit erratic,it surges a little.
It also has Pacemaker headers,3 inch hi flow cat and a mandrel bent 2.5 inch system, despite the extra power, the car uses about the same amount of fuel or maybe a little more (10L/100 kms) which is what my twin cam N/A VL uses.
The VP goes like hell at the bottom end and 1/3 - 1/2 throttle sees smoke coming from the rear tyres, but the top end performance is similar to the VL's

Just rob a bank and chuck 2 T66's on ya motor, a front mount, forgies and an aftermarket ECU.
Im sure theres heaps of other mods as well, but i thought it would be a start.

How much do you want to spend?
If the answer is not much then bolt on a VN-VP V8 throttle body, and remove the plastic restrictor bellmouth inside the manifold. Combined these mods are worth 3-tenths on the strip. For more power get the heads mildly ported and this will see you increase the power even further.
Diff ratio and auto mods will help things along too. Shift kit the auto, and go to 3.45 gears as a minimum.
I wouldn't use the off the shelf crow cams (stage 1,2 or 3) because they are way too small the be worth worrying about. If you are going to change the came then change it for something half decent.
Of course, if you have the budget a blower or turbo will kill anything you can do with an N/A combo.

10-12-04, 22:52 GMT+10#11 At the moment I am saving up to get Rego and Insurance, I'll buy an alarm soon as well (ASAP), and then I'll probably put a bit of money into the engine. I'll look to spend around $5000 under the bonnet and more if I need it. First off, I'll do the mods that are simple then look at a Supercharger or a Turbo.
I won't go the 8 as I feel I could play around with the 6 and yeah try to get as much power as possible so I can roast Rice if I wanted to
