well if u went out to aspley last night u probably got fingered by the local po po. well me and a mate went out to just check out the bogan scene aspely blocked off completely i mean every car was checked. family cars were getting sent to pineapple street and even people leaving from work in the carpark area were getting sent there. wonderful display of police resources at best..........um it think daniel morcombe is still missing and yet i saw at least 50 plus blue shirts just chillin around. there excuse......were just doin our job. for friks sake hook me up with that job. well we got off not a thing pinged on us but being the passenger and having to sit ou the front of pineapple street for 3.5 hours isnt the best way to spend a frikin thursday night. i give the cops 2 thumbs up for there effort in targetting the everyday people and giving fines and defecting cars of those who really cant afford to pay them. police protecting the interests of its citizens at its best. They rocked up about 8:30.. left about 10:30... I was parked in the carpark when it happened. Counted at least 20 cops in the carpark, 5 marked cars, 3 D cars (running round the side streets pulling up anything slightly modified), 1 Wagon, 4 Bikes, and anything else I didnt happen to see. I got away scott free without even a question being asked.

Quote: if the cops were serious about saftey they wouldnt issue fines instead make sure the people fix the so called defect then show them ahhhh... that is the whole idea dude.. with the defect comes the fine.. u dont get the defect cleared until u fix the problem.. fail to fix the problem by the set date and u get fined more. just doin there job.. hrmm. i guess they have a point there.. obviously someone has raised the issue about the gathering of hundreds of cars in the asply maccas/hypermarket area and dishing out defects and undertaking vehicle inspections is their only way of moving ppl on.. i dare say it would be more effictive than 2 cops standing at the entrance to aspley maccas carpark with a 'Please just **** off' sign. hrmm.... its quite suprising they havent found daniel yet.. or somone hasnt tipped off anything.. it really sucks actually.. i had the boot of my car searched for the little bugger.. and for anything remotely suspicious... they even asked me where the **** i was on the 7th of december 2003... lol I hope this thread doesnt just turn into another bitch session.

sounds a bit harsh but that daniel dude has to be dead. slighlty ironic that his parents sold a house of their own amongst other assets to fund half of the searches/operations in the dim hope of finding their son. whereas qld police would have made thousands of dollars with thursday nights efforts. maybe qld po-po's should start selling all them bikies that the fed police just found at the airport. theyd have millions and millions of dollars to do whatever they want with. hhrrmm i say legalise drugs Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Exactly... just look at Harry's, what a joke that place was. The longer I'm around this car scene ****, the less I sympathise (sp?) with people who get ****ed on... I mean like, what exactly is the point in hanging around Aspley in your sick car ? You may as well rig up a big neon setup that says "Defect me"... I don't get it... I mean I have a defectable car but I like to think I keep it a bit subtle and show a bit of common sense when I'm in a place where police are obviously out in force...If I do go to attention whore central and get shafted by Mr Plod you won't see me posting up here bitching about it... tough **** I say, we choose to have illegally modified cars you just gotta do what you can not to get busted.

I don't feel sorry for those ppl who are defected for unsafe and/or clearly illegal mods, or those who get harassed by the police becasue they were doing sik burnouts or something equally as stupid. What really pisses me off is when the police pick on the guy driving the fast car simply because it is a fast car. If he is following the road rules, why does he deserve to be pulled over more than the grandpa in his mercedes? I have lost count of the number of times I have been pulled over by Mr Plod, for him to ask something really important like "where have you been?" That's not just doing their job, that's just being a ****head.

if you drive a vl, expect to be picked on. you should have known that when you bought the car. there's a time and a place for bein stupid. i drive heaps, and have had a broken windscreen among a couple other things, for the last 2 years. cops NEVER pick on me for it, even though it's clearly defectable, along with the rust around it. if you use your head, you won't get defected, and if you are polite etc etc, nothing bad will happen. from personal experience i've never been defected in nearly 4 years in my vl ( lowered, sports exhaust, extractors, sports wheel etc etc...) if your in a bad area at the wrong time, expect to be defected. i'm not FOR the cops, but don't ask for trouble and you won't get it.
