Yep there built like a tank, jump in one and yep its the size of a tank.
Back in the 70's fuel cost **** all, now in the year 2004 not only cant you get leaded fuel, but it cost way to much to think about running the old XY GT.

Hook in..Are you looking at buying the XY GTHO PHIII? If so you'll need alot of cash, thats if you can find one for sale that is.
Just stay away from the GTR-XU1's.

I'm guessing your looking at a GT replica, more affordable than a genuine article.
The XY GT a true aussie legend and still turns many heads even today, my favourite colours are the Vermillion fire-Orangey red and Wild Violet-purple, with white interior or black interior and factory wind back sunroof, and 5 slot steel wheels with red wall tyres and no bootlid spoiler they look crap.
Expect to pay around $15,000 for a half decent built up replica.

Mate of mine has a genuine XA GT coupe, RPO83 motor. Goes hard, best sounding car ever. love it to bits.
Falcon GTs are the original aussie muscles car, I'd love to own one.

We've got a mint XY GT sitting in the garage here, and if you think a VLT turns heads, wait to get in one of these. They are awesome, and sooooo much power. Just don't expect to be daily driving one, and they are VERY expensive if you want a good one.
