This is not another "why am I losing boost thread" Just wondering if anyone on here has actually HELD any sort of decent boost levels with just a single stage turbo smart bleed valve and an internal gate. I don't know of anyone who is. I am losing A LOT of boost. Spiking to 21psi then dropping to 9psi. I have a 1 bar actuator. Surely some one has proven that the internal gates will hold boost with a decent boost controller.

9psi sounds pretty low.. I can't get my turbosmart 2 stage controller below that... holds 13 psi on mine pretty easily, havent tried above that yet though.. not a bleed valve, but is a turbosmart.

o ok. Thanks mate. I might make a new thread in the VL turbo discussion section. I really want to know (and I think others would) if the bleed valve and internal gate setup will hold any decent boost.

with a stock turbo i had 14psi no worries. is your exhaust sh1t? the pressure will kill boost if your exhaust isnt up to scratch
