Howdy,
I'm currently in the process of converting my VH to have a VL dash, using all VL under-dash components [and also converting to delco/kalmaker computer using a camira harness].
Just wondering a couple of things:
1. Does anyone have any pictures of partially pulled apart dashes (for alignment purposes), and if so could you post them up?
2. Does anyone have a gregorys manual that they could scan and email the under-dash wiring diagrams from (or borrow the manual for enough time to view what I need - in Brisbane?) My email is dave at ostat dot com...
I know there are wiring diagrams on this site (not gregory's ones) but they were not clear in what connectors are where etc...
Cheers,
Dave
Ok, noone can help me out with the wiring diagrams, that's ok, I got some emailled to me.
There are a couple of things I can't tell from the wiring diagram - does the sensor wire from the oil pressure switch go through the efi harness, or straight to the main harness?
Also, the main power (B+, just fusible linked to the battery) for the computer - does it come through the efi harness, or the main harness?
Cheers,
Dave
are you using the VL cluster also? If so, you might be able to rip the bit of metal out of a VL that holds the cluster up and screw that onto the rail that goes across the car that holds the dash up. Thats all i had to do for putting the VL cluster, and dash into my vk. As for the wiring, i got a rb30 in there, so i used entire vl wiring harness. all plug 'n' play

Oh, something that may help you. Any sensors that are on the engine (AFM, o2, coolent, oil, etc) as well as stuff like coil, injectors, etc, etc... all of them are connected to the wiring harness that goes to the computer. There is only a single plug that goes from the engine wiring harness into the main wiring harness. This is located not far from the computer itself. So computer would get its power from that plug, and oil sensor would go to the cluster thru that plug as well. does that help?
I already have the dash mount panel in the car and welded on, I'm up to the wiring stage There were a couple more mods I had to do over the vk too - the vh air plenum intake hole is in a different spot :S
Thanks for the info about the sensors, just means that I have to unravel the delco harness again and add the sensor wires...(I'm using the delco/kalmaker computer on my 202, and am installing a VL dash...)
Cheers,
Dave
