just wondering if anyone could post some info about them / experiences with em...
every1 says ther pretty bad for the street , but i dont see why u cant release the button earlier in the rpm range so the car doesnt lose as much traction??
are there any negatives to having a transbrake comapred to a stally??
there should be no problem driving around with a transbrake that goes up to 5-6k rpm on the street, whereas if u have a 3.5 / 4 grand stally, the auto can appear to be slipping or loose ??
thx guys

You are better off to have a larger stall as well as the brake!

put simply... transbrakes are absolutely useless on the street !! and i think most would agree with me here...
there is a good chance that u wont even be able to stall a car up hard in the revs withought launching with massive wheelspin off the brake.. let alone sitting on a brake and letting it all go at the release of a button..
its purpose is for drag race launching. it should be used on the track for best outcome.
using it on the street i guess would just be for mucking around off lights and ripping big ass demos
there is a nice video of WARNG gettin around... sits on the brake for a few seconds and goes hectic and does a nice fly by aswell...

"transbrakes are absolutely useless on the street !!"
what if you were to just engage the transbrake and stall it up to 2.5/3 grand (too low to get chronic wheelspin) ... i dont see how it can act just as efficient as a good stall on teh street??
thx for post Morgo, i read that before!

there are too many unknowns on the street, the strip is a controlled environment, keep the brake engaged for too long and you'll fry your auto - keep it for the track!

I was playing with my stally down a road with a mate who's into racing, and as soon as we got boost off the line, even 2-3psi, she'd light em up and do sideways. coz as you leave the line, it puts out more power.
A transbrake would be useless on the street, But seriously who's gonna stall it up and have a crack at beating someone in street trim? LOL.
