ok i have a turbo and i was going to get a Manifold made but as a cheaper option for now i was wondering if i could get a adaptor made so this Turbo would fit its a T04B with split pulse Euro style flange which is same as T3 now it will fit on my standard Rb25DEt manifold but i have no space for a wastegate thats the only problem so i was think how much would somthing that like had a T3 flange that wen on my manifold then a another flange made out of square steel with a another pipe coming off 4 the wastegate would cost to make. i was thinking of doing it myself if i could i had a pic but cant seem to find it.

This is just a roughie i made up to show people what i mean it wouldnt be aslong as it looks there and i know the flange dosnet look right either lol but i was thinking of using this as a cheaper alternative to $900+ for a custom manifold. what do u guys think?? probley not as good as a custom but i reckin it will do i seen other RB20/25 manifolds with a steel block welded on to hold the external wastegate. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

why dont you just get a small spacer made up to fit the turbo under the manifold and then put the external gate on the exhaust manifold like everyone else does. Just cut a hole in the top of the manifold and bolt the gate directly to it. You know what I mean. Surely you have seen it done like that before.

there is basically no room to mount the gate on a rb25 manifold i believe that putting the gate pipe into the spacer plate as ur diagram suggests will work fine , but u may have problems with the turbo sitting too low and hitting the chassis rail or something

ok well i think it might work er there isnt much space to mount the wastegate and if i mount it str8 up i wont be able 2 close the bonnet i think. i have seen people mount it to the turbo exhaust housing what about that??? i have heard it interupts flow but its gunna do that anywayz no matter where i put it lol.
