Hey Just a quick question, what effect does the TPS have on the jatco ? I know there is a extra auto only plug for automatic's but the question is what does that do ? Thanks

The Transmission ecu needs to know when the throttle is closed. The only function I know this effects is with the na's and the lockup torque converter. When cruising in 4th and you back off to no throttle, the ecu disconnects the lockup plate inside the torque converter. Kinda makes this extra plug redundant in the VLT doesn't it.

i know for sure that the TPS is used for part throttle kickdown because when i was investigating what it did on my old n/a auto i unplugged it to find out... midz i just say swap if, if you fiddled with it and the overdrive started working, maybe the ecu always thinks the throttle is closed or something like that?
