hey boyz , most of u may know that i recently brought a BT1 Rolling shell , well after a couple of weeks of owning it i had ppl rocking upto my door asking me for offers too sell , since the car wasnt coverd and u could see it from a mile away , ppl just walked up to my door , i have had offers for more then i payed for so i decided too let it go.......
I was abit upset in selling it since i wanted to fix it up and stuff but i thought because iam young and dont make that much money and a rebuild like that would cost $$$ and i want to be able to drive it on my L's....
After coming home from school one day i jumped on the net at started searching for another vl ( preferbly a BT1 ) i found some that were too expensive for me at the stage , then i stumbled accross a NEW POST i clicked on it and what did i see ?
A Factory yellow N/A BT1 , Immac Inside and out and fully orignal going for $2800, i stright away rang up and went to see it that night , too my suprise the car was owned by an old ladie and her pretty old daughter , they where 2nd owner previously brought it from a Police officer who was there friend from Moorhabin Police Station , the car looks immac , i took it for a test drive and it drove sweet , i straight away handed over a deposit and will be picking it up this week !

I hope to do a turbo conversion pretty soon once a save some more cash also ! and a full respray ( thats why i wanted Pannics paint code because i wanted to keep the orig grey bumpers not do them silver like everyone else )

aren't all BT1's ex cops? BT1 was the name of the old police pack they installed into there cars. i don't have a VL as my name suggests but aren't BT1 only basic VL's with a couple of different things like map lights and slight interior mods? essentially a VL that coulda been an SL modded by anyone? do they have an actual badge that says BT1? curious.
yer if im not mistaken it stamped that it is a bt1 and also from the vin number im sure you could find out if its a bt1... and there was no police pack if your thinking of the ussual "chop chip" just your basic cop car with a few minor tweaks.. nothing as big turbos ect...

nah james the mx7 is the turbo manual box. Im pretty sure urs is the mf5 (or wateva the atmo 5 speed is). But some series 2 n/a vl's had mx7's or turbo auto's i think..
PS for the record not all bt1's were used by the police force, just like today's "914" (police pack) many are sold as company cars or even to the general public when over-ordering occours
