just found out that i have a crack in my front rotors. so my advice to people are dont get crossdrilled and slotted rotors, just get slotted rotors.
what i want to know is who makes the best slotted rotors ill be also upgrading my calipers to VT twin piston calipers.
what do you guys reckon?

contact the Bigger Brakes sponsor on this site, I would never get cross drilled rotors for street use, big slotted rotors are more than enough for street use!!!!

I can get the VT twin piston calipers very cheap.. with rotors... for about $200.00 but u need VS floating hubs to fit them onto a VL, and they are $110.00 each, so that doubles the price...
As Josh said, GTR 4 piston calipers are the way to go. This is what Im doing, probably with 330mm slotted rotors. I have been doing a bit of research into this, so let me know if you wanna know anything
DON'T GET CROSS DRILLED & SLOTTED DBA ROTORS AS THEY WILL CRACK
www.walkinshaw.net/brakes (http://www.walkinshaw.net/brakes) <------ There is proof off my brothers VS V8.

Oh, and DBA slotted rotors are fine.. so u could get away with just changing the rotors, but you may as well upgrade the calipers at the same time Dan...

I bought sum VT slotted rotors with hub adaptors and new VT twinspot callipers from CHAMRA for $520 delivered! I'd get 330mm's but then i cant run 15'' front runner rims when i go down 2 da drags as u need 17'' rims minimum. VT Twinspots are plenty! theyre designed for a VT which is a couple of hundred kg's heavier then da VL so they pull you up sweeet!

Agree with disturbed. I bought CHAMRA's 296mm kit with twin piston calipers for VL's at $430 delivered to your door. They pull up great and i'm only using copper pads (bendix premiums) should work well with ultimates.

02-11-04, 16:46 GMT+10#16 yeah slotteds all the way..
I got an email from the DBA Rep saying as to why they crack if anyone is interested
Dan you can either go 330mm they bolt straight on but you will need to get calipers to suit
If not, do the VT conversion like most have done

07-11-04, 16:49 GMT+10#17 How much would it cost to convert from rear drums to discs with slotted rotors etc?
I wanna get the 296mm kit w/twin piston calipers for $430 for the front, but what should be done with the rear?
