3.9s are good of da line but as ive said and been told b4 its no secret you can run 10's or even 9's on VLT 3.45's! 3.9s might be a lil funner on da street...?

Its the rolling resistance, being the size, profile, offset of the bigger rims. I have 17" and if I put 15's on, man she goes.... Diff gears depend on your gearbox and type of driving... but generally for street fuel consumption, I wouldn't go any higher than 3.9's

Bah...go 4.11's u bunch of pansies haha. Bigger/smaller diameter wheels will affect the wheel speed (though you shouldnt really notice it too much), hence why most people put 15" stockies on when running on the strip as they give u slightly better acceleration compared to 18/19's (and obviously tyres are cheaper too). Sitting on 100km/hr or so with 4.11's, u should only sit on bout 200 more rpm compared to 3.9's so it aint that much worse. 4.11's are heaps of fun off the line, i have them in my car and i only sit on bout 2700rpm doing 100km/hr (and thats with my 4spd T700 auto and 18"s) and i do alot of freeway driving, those kind of revs are harmless. So all those u whinge that 4.11's are too much compared to 3.9's, you wouldnt notice that much difference in rpm or fuel consumption wise. Plus 4.11's can be found in old nissan pintara's which have the same borg warner diff centre's as VL/VN's, i believe sum also came with 3.9's depending wether it was manual or auto. I managed to score a complete pintara diff for a measly $80 from a wrecked car, ripped out the gears and wacked em into my diff with a VL turbo LSD unit. Cheap as.
