Im helping a friend to fix his vlturbo clutch at the moment and have relized a dogey conversion has been done with a n/a 5 speed box. THis wil be fixed later down the track but he just wants the car drivable for the moment. Now heres my delema i bought the bush for the manual transmission from holden but was wondering how far to push the brass bush into the crank. DO you bottom it in the crank or does it sit a certain distance down??? My holden manual dosent mention anything of this. Also do you take out the other bush thats used on the auto?? I hope all this makes sense cause its hard to explain, but i dont want to have to pull the box out again because i did something wrong.

yes remove the old bush.dont bottom the new one out or itll be a pain to remove later. there is many theories floating around about removing them, one of which is the old grease trick(which got me nowhere) i had to get a special spiggot bush removing tool. it worked a treat
