i got auto and want a 5 speed what would i need

youll need the pedal box which are hard to come by so you need to do a little looking around the gear box of course and clutch plus other fiddly bits

also you need the hydraulics to operate the pedal box

hey I just rang my mate at Malaga Auto Dismantlers, hes got a complete 5 spd manual conversion for a vl commodore, thats reconditioned 5spd + heavy duty clutch, hydraulics, pedal box, manual vl computer, manual surround and gear shift boot and all the other little bits for $1000, thats a good price. also TREV DIFFS AND TRANSMISSION in malaga will do the complete swap for you for $500 aslong as u supply everything, ive hadall my diffs/gearboxes fixed their since I was 17, hes a champ, always does the right thing by people. catcha mate

thats not for a turbo mx7 box though is it ( $1000) ... would a n/a box take much punishment behind a turbo? or will it just die in the ass..?

hey projktvl, yeah a n/a box will take alot of punishment, alot of guys convert to them when they have auto n/a or turbos, hell even my mate has an n/a auto behind an rb25 running 10psi of boost and it loves it hahha. shaun

i got a mate who blew up his engine and was thinking bout bying the box and conversion parts to put behind my turbo...im running 11 psi, do you reacon it would take 14 psi...? if so ill probably bye it, cos my 3 speed is killing my fuel bill now Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah it should be sweet, my mate ran a n/a 5 speed behind his rb30et with t04, front mount, bit of internal work and running 18psi for racing and hes held up fine, dont know how its running now as the car was stolen last new years eve DOH!!!
