It is a bit dodgy, but a lot of people do it....the best way to do it is to get lower compression pistons, but its also the most expensive.have you converted to turbo?

well i got a twin cam setup... but with the pistons used the CR came out to ~10.0:1 i am told... and was also told ~2mm head gasket would be needed... so thats my reason. Not getting the pistons machined as it may weaken the crown.. again so i'm told. ollie i could be tempted.. but used.... hmmm where did it get sourced from?

considered along time ago.. i got wiseco forged RB25 pistons in there... th eproblem is i got the 'new' batch of rb25 forgies which are now slightly bigger than the 'old' batch (rb25 owners complained of really low CR with the forgies) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I can hook you up brother. around the $300 mark. Same style of gasket as HKS (multi-layer metal composite). Serious head gasket and they come in sizes up to 2mm. Highly recommended by the gurus.
