O.K just a quick question on this VCT oil feed, what size fitting did you tap into the head? I mean I've got a brass fitting that I should be able to tap into it, but its a M8 fitting, isnt that too big? Also how deep did you go? (the fitting that goes into the gallery.....) I know the fitting from the oil pressure sender is 1/4 BSP, I've got all that sorted out, same with the blocking off the VCT oil feed line in the head, I just used a Crank shaft Grub screw from a Alfa Romeo Sud 1500....... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I had a machine shop do mine, but i think it is 1/8" BSP. You should stick with a BSP fitting as they are tapered and will seal well with the help of some Loctite or similar. If you use a metric parallel thread, there is nothing to "seat" it as the external surface of the gallery is rounded.

Yeah, a 1/8th BSP brass fitting looks awefully large to tap into such a small gallery.....Twin VL I can se what you did, can you please post some more details? How far are you into your "conversion" anyway? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
