I have a VL Calais Turbo with a T04 Turbo. I have recently purchased 2 brand new Garrett T04B turbos. How do I go about fitting this and is it more trouble than its worth??

Depends what size exhaust housing and exhaust manifold you are running. Make the exhaust pipes smaller with a merge collector and they should boost up fine. Custom manifolds will be required, I'd say $1400 for good ones. You could run 7psi or so, and still use factory gear, but mounting the AFM to twin turbos could be a pain, and if you going all out on the turbo side, you might as well go aftermarket computer and injectors. Ahhhh no Greg, Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If your serious about it, talk to the Rajabs. Billy's Setup is currently twin turbo on the rb30 head.

If they are the T04b's off ebay with the 1.15 rear housing they aren't going to boost up really well. My brother had one of these ready to go on but decided against it and bought a GT30/40. Those T04's would be best suited to a rotor.

where would be the best shop to perform these works on my car in Brisbane or surrounding areas?

Wouldn't 2 X T04's be too big? I'm not sure of the different methods to plumb them up, but if you had 3 cylinders feeding each turbo, you only have half as much exhaust gas going into each one. Lag would be huge, but top end power would be equally huge!

I reckon you should just sell one to me and put the other one on your engine.

Quote: is it more trouble than its worth?? Its more lag than its worth... Wrong turbos for twin use on that particular motor. IMHO Buy some that are more suitable or just fit one turbo only. Also you haven't mentioned the actual turbo specs or your other mods/planned mods, so its hard for people to give you a real answer to your question. Mick
